I was born and raised in Edmonton and the best way to keep me quiet was to put in front of me a pad of paper and a pencil. In 1989 my husband, boys and I moved to Skeleton Lake near Boyle, Alberta, where we live today.
Watercolour is my favorite medium and recently I have begun to include mixed media. As much as I enjoy the broad landscape, I am seduced by the small mushroom growing under a fallen log, a group of leaves catching the sun and flowers - I do love flowers! I like to zoom in on what is often overlooked and I am sure there are fairies lurking... just over there... For me, painting is more than a deep love, it is a responsiblity and an obiligation. I feel it is my job to point out "the color purple".
